Fulfilling the MIL-DTL-27166 and SAE AS27166 standards, the MIV-MIV-TA238-R Breather Valve offers a cost-effective solution with a higher flow rate compared to the TA294-R model. Ideal for transit cases and similar applications with volumes up to 33 cubic feet, it boasts a flow rate of 4.0 SCFM and adjustable settings ranging from 0.5 psi to 5.0 psi.
The valve is lightweight, robust, tamper-resistant, and maintenance-free. Constructed entirely from corrosion-resistant materials, it features a silicone rubber seal. All MIV-MIV-TA238-R valves come standard with a recessed manual release push button, which facilitates the equalization of residual pressure or vacuum differentials for container opening.
Please note that the MIV-MIV-TA238-R does not safeguard against water intrusion from high-pressure hoses. For such applications, consider using the TA330, TA333, or TA770 Breather Valves.
Dimensionally, materially, and functionally identical to the Zero ZSP6-037 Breather Valve, the MIV-MIV-TA238-R comes with an o-ring gasket and hex nut. Optional RFI/EMI shielding is also available.

For wall thicknesses less than 0.110 (3 mm), additional washers (MILVENT P/N 300013-16, order separately) are recommended. For threaded boss installation, a 1.00-20 UNEF-2B thread with a 1.020 ± 0.015 (26 ± 0.38 mm) diameter counterbore and a minimum depth of 0.110 (3 mm) for thread relief is required.
